all i have to say is i respect mark from a technicians standpoint more than most, if probably not all, members on here.

hell, the entire reason i joined this forum a year ago was to learn about the mysterious "cameron" mods on marshalls.

from a customer's standpoint i understand frustration, and actually agree with the fact its wrong and slanderous not respecting people's right to their money and amplifiers. i wouldnt want to bother with cameron considering the amount of money thats floating around, or all of the terrible facts, not stories, over on the cameron sub-forum. and quite honestly im really surprised mark hasnt had a lawsuit or two on his workbench which i think he is very lucky for.

but regardless my dream has always been and will always be to have my own amplifier line that will hang with cameron's marshalls. why?

because you cant argue the mod's he did sounded amazing. the work he does is great for analog tube theory.

what sucks, is the business part of it.

because mark fine tunes the amplifiers one by one using his ears and knowledge it would be frustrating to not be able to mass-produce an amp line because tone is involved. anyone ever think of that? but what makes this even harder on the customer is that he cant really give a reasonable timeline. years pass by and people have pretty much lost hope of ever seeing their cameron marhsalls.


IMHO i used to really want a cameron marshall. but the conversations that are associated with cameron nowdays arent what they used to be.

"his amps are killer i cant wait to get mine sent in and modded!!!" was replaced with...... well scroll up and read the comments on this topic.

thats imposssible to fix without serious work on mark's side and nothing is being done.

i dont know what else to say but you are only as good as your word. and even though his amp mods are awsome he doesnt even give an effort to fix what he has done, or even try to deal with all the topics himself. the only person ive ever seen try to help over on the sub-forum is Nick himself.

thats not someone i would want business from. and its sad to say his mod's seem to be the only thing i like about him.

You have access or represent Cameron amps correct?

You drive up the auction price to over 5k while the seller has a buy it now that is at a insane 10k.

If you know whats going on with the company why would you bid double on a amp that will be going or is in production?

Why do you care soo much? If he wanted a 5k amp, then fuck it, let him buy it. And 5k! Big deal. When i was 22 years old and broke i managed to buy an ATV worth around 5k. And i sure as hell didn't need that.

But now, paying a mortgage and all the bills that go along with it as well as a 2 month old daughter, i wouldn't be spending that much on an amp. I know when i was younger and didn't have the responsibilities i do now, i could easily see myself spending that much. But spending a thousand here and a thousand there and crap for the house is something that changes the thought patterns.

But shit, I'd love myself a Meathead.

I was born to play music and that is my true passion ask anyone who knows me they will tell you. I work very hard 60 + hours a week and if i want something i'll get it. But Think what you want! I am new to the whole Cameron thing so I did not know if you were a rep for the company or not since you had Cameron under your username it just rubbed me the wrong way that you were bidding on your own merchandise.
