I've been done for a long while...but thanks to gear-flippers, I have all my gear for much cheaper than new prices.

What did you settle on out of curiosity?

I've been playing my Dual Rec for 5 years now. Hated it at first but I like it with KT-77's and a boost. It's great once you hear it with tubes that are biased where they should be. That said, I have the worst GAS ever!
Vox and Marshall...old school style, all I really need...AC15H1TV and a JTM45 2x12 combo.

Problem in the past (why I was flipping amps for a few years there) was that I thought I wanted an amp with all the gain built in and kept trying different higher-gained channel-switching amps....but was never happy.
I really much prefer a simple single channel amp that only goes as far as crunchy gain on it's own and needs to be pushed a bit more up front (when needed) into higher gain, to me that just feels great to play and responds well to the guitar's volume control.

Basically, I can't stand the feel and tone of multi, multi gain staged amps.

I kept my FJA modded 5150 and sold a few guitars also. I am still working on selling my 2nd Nitro (keeping the first one of course). Picked up a Bogner Uberschall, Peters Chimera and a Mako Makoplex too. I am in metal tone heaven these days.

Wow, that's a nice list!

I haven't had GAS since I put the Marvel circuit in my XTC 101b and since I picked up a MESA Lonestar (that I originally hated until I realized it had a dead preamp tube on delivery.)

Done quite some time ago, ever since I got my beloved Black 50W MTS.....that's not to say I won't get the Egnater Mod50 for a third time though ;-$
