I'm running Philips 7581As in mine with Philips 12ax7was in the preamp. Those clean it right on up and make it sound pretty good.

Still has original USA tubes too!

The last one I bought had the original tubes in it and they tested and looked as new. I took them out and kept them when I sold it....although I should have never sold it

Yep they seem to last forever. One of the few amps i missed after selling. Nice to have one again.

I use one. Gets the job done and sounds acceptable. Best choice for a "value" metal head.
