Splawn Amps

I know that the first time I played my Splawn, I could not stop grinning. It was THE sound I had been chasing for 25 years. I don’t find them to be hard to play at all. I don’t think that they are stiff, rather very uncompressed. It will reward you for good playing technique. It will also punish you if you’re not on your A game.

Did the grin look like this : :D Man that's how I'm feeling about this amp everytime I plug in. Uncompressed for sure with a ton of grind and raunchy crunch! Man this amp rips  Played for an hour or so last night and every gear offers something a bit different but all are equally awesome. So many tweaks to the tone in this box.

I had the exact same reaction. Easily my favorite high gain amp I've ever had.

Anyone figure out a way to switch from 1st to third gear with the footswitch? You can go 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd. I set mine up for low gain on first gear (gain at 9oclock) then switch (manually) to 3rd gear with OD2 for high gain. If you could do it with the foot switch it would be like having 3 channels.

Unfortunately there isn’t a way to jump from gear 1 to gear 3 with the footswitch. I have been using gear 1 and 2, seems to be enough for me. I suppose you could drop a pedal in front if you want more gain than gear 2 od 2, which you already know is accessible via the 4 button foot switch.

You could always give Scott a call. Not sure what you are asking is a possible mod, yet he would be the guy to let you know.

Get a QuickRod and enjoy the tone. Loop works fine for me, no weird mids, just kick ass
