Sweetwater modded Princeton?

was impressed recently by some of the reissues and then just heard about these. they seem cool…?

 
Yeah, they do seem cool. Sweetwater getting into guitar and amp mods is an attractive concept because you can get something modded to be closer to what you want, but you still get the big box store credentials and guarantee.

Seems like a win-win to me. Something else to think about is that the biggest worry about getting something modded is the fact that not just the mod, but also the modder will forever be attached to the amp or guitar after that. I don't think I'd ever touch gear modded by Joe Asshole from Bumblefuck USA or whatever, but something modded by a big box company with accountability, where you know the original owner would have had the option to return it if it wasn't done right? Suddenly that seems like a much safer bet.
 
I remember when they had Paul Rivera mod a bunch of Deluxes for them maybe ten years ago, this seems like a continuation of that idea.
