DT and God Forbid have one song each that I can actually fully enjoy (Pull Me Under, The Antihero) but fucking Nevermore is unlistenable across the entirety of their expansive catalogue.
I should have been more clear. While I do enjoy Byron's vocals, the backup vocals on their final albums just turned me off completely. So if it's a choice between no vocals or with vocals which include the backup vocals, I'll go for no vocals.
Used to hate Randy's vocals when I heard LOG played on liquid metal back in the day, but after listening to them a while his vocals grew on me. Now I own a bunch of their older albums and love his screaming
My personal tipping point was "Black Clouds and Silver Linings". I also never got into "Systematic Chaos" and i liked 1 song on "A Dramatic Turn of Events".
I can't really answer other than any band that has cookie monster vocals. I know I miss out on some pretty good guitar work as I'm out as soon as I hear that vocal style/
