Insert laughter, or cry--- I have owned 7 Budda's
2 each of the 30, 45, and 80
And I just got a 18 2x12 a couple days ago

Here are clips of my 30 2x12 very slightly boosted with a BB preamp (gain was about 1 o'clock), sorry none of this "clean" :) that you speak of on these clips
All I have is a 7 string with an EMG, but if you like I can record some cleans on the 18

All the SDs have a similar sound and feel, and I guess it is the same preamp except Ratter mentioned somewhere the 80 have a little more aggressive front end. As Pete (Stratotone) mentioned the 18 (and 30 too) have a bit of Vox going on with EL84s. I haven't had the balance problem that others have with the channels, but I am not too picky on the cleans (if it has some dirt or is Fender twin clarity I am good)... Haven't had the 18 up to band levels, but I would imagine the 18 will not have a ton of clean headroom.
To me they sound like a rich take on a Marshall and they sit in a mix amazingly well

Hope it helps!

Hey Lance how's it going brother??

I think I hit 7 as well.    Maybe 8? I don't even remember.

It was Jeff Bober who told me in an email that the preamps were slightly different. Definitely nothing too drastic to my ears, but different nonetheless. I still think the 80 is the king daddy but the 18 is great too especially for what they go for used. And anybody who hasn't cranked up a Twinmaster through a 4x12 is missing out. Volume issues aside, that might actually be my favorite Budda tone of all! It's like a mini plexi with an exaggerated touch response.

:D In all seriousness I bet you would love one...the rhythm channel of the superdrive gets pretty close but not quite...

Great clips. What is the "Twinmaster?" Spotted one of those locally for a great price, now wondering if I should check it out in person (beyond just glancing at it). I've been looking for a complimentary amp for the QR, something with better cleans, more vintagey (pre 80's) crunch (and possibly even heavier crunch with a pedal). Also, are Budda amps fairly easy to bias (say with only a mult-meter)?

They are expensive and I never see them used around here...I think I have that style of amp covered with the Peters Polaris amp actually....love that little combo.

Here is my SD30 serial number 2 with a Tape echo.
Echo is a little hot....62 Strat custom shop for the guitar.
Camera mike.
Please change the view to 240p or it skips...dont know why, but it does.

They are self biasing. Absolutely love EL34's in the 45!

The Twinmaster was the first Budda model. It's a simple non-master volume amp - 18w, treble, bass, volume controls with hi and lo inputs. EL-84.

I'd love to hear your take on a cranked Twinmaster->4x12. It's like an angry little metalface. Jake E Lee all the way....

Why did I sell them all???

Well I know that's not true...you probably just think there's greener pastures and flip things. :D

Your video of the Budda sounds killer Vlad.

And I'm almost always wrong, ergo...
I've been actually using the Bad Cat 5 watt combo on the last few gigs with pedals. The guys in the band were shocked when they first saw the tiny thing....but shut up quick. :D

Which one? That plexi-ish tone?

This one...sounds like it has nice aggression on chords without a ton of gain and a bit of a compressed Brian May thing on the single notes.
