I've been eyeballing the new prestige rg652ahm, I would buy it if I had some money and if zzounds had it in stock. Got sick of dealing with floyd trems but figured I'd give the edge a shot, trems are just too damn fun.

Love my early 90's rg, it's home to me........it's my main axe, but it and every Rg ibanez I've ever played sounds thinner than any Les Pauls or good Strat I've ever played. Yes even with upgraded pickups and electronics. Sad to say it....it's my fav. guitar and best ibby I've heard/played.
Related story: Years back I had an RG550 with a maple fretboard that I absolutely loved, but I wound up having to part with it (long story). Fast forward 20 years or so, I walk into the local music shop today on a whim, and there's a used maple-board 550 sitting there. One debit card swipe later, and I've been jamming with it most of the evening. This one seems stock, was made in '90, and definitely has a bit of wear and tear, but plays great.
I'm a lefty, so you can imagine that you don't really see these come around that often
The 2 guitars I've had the longest, through literally hundreds of guitars, are a couple of my first. I have a Sabre STD and a Destroyer 550 that are going on 25 years old. I haven't played the later models, but I think Ibanez and Musician are underrated guitars.
IDGAF what anybody says. I've had Ibanez guitars for years. Sure the Malaysia stuff is not as good as the Japan stuff, but Ibanez knows how to build a F'N guitar. This one is a Malaysia job. The fit and finish is top notch. Dean should go to Malaysia and learn how to do fit and finish.
