Blackened straight into the title track takes the cake for me. Perfect blend of thrash and progressive with clever song writing and epic build-ups.

So many amazing metal tracks to mention here but there's just no denying MOP and AJFA were the pinnacle of so many aspects of the metal genre.

Blackened for me. The intro, the speed, the middle section, the solo, the lyrics. Yeah, it’s perfect. Even the hanging high feedback notes that sound like nuclear bomb alarms during the build up for the middle section gives me chills.

Yeah AJFA is Kirk’s best album.

The Unforgiven solo is probably his best single solo, but on AJFA, he was on fire through the whole thing. There are some absolutely vicious solos on that album. The Dyer’s Eve solo is just pure energy.

Well it’s one of my favorite songs in I’ll say rock or metal, so I’ll agree. I think just being younger than many here I used to have this idea in my head that if there’s real singing or if it’s too melodic that it’s not metal haha
