Bumping this thread: some new Snorklers DELUXE are popping in the wild…what are these???

Still have the 50w writing on it, 1 more knob, and significantly more switches….

If it follows the pattern of the previous release we'll find out in about six months... IIRC this is the same store that posted the original about that long before it was officially announced. Either that or they're a small batch of exclusives for that store.

I am pretty sure is something along that way...

As an owner of the "normal" snorkler 50 I am interested if whether (the switches) they can be translated into simple mods to the OG.

Transformers matter, according to the specs the amp only weighs about 33 lbs (just shy of 15kg) so if accurate that would explain the smaller feel. Only amp I've played close to 50w that feels huge are Wizards. Even his MC25 would compete in terms of girth and sonic footprint to some 100w amps.

Hiwatt Super-Hi 50 sounds and feels like a 100W amp. Punches harder than most 100W Marshalls, that's for sure.

36 lbs....

Are you sure about that? A stock DR504 is 42 lbs. And that's what the Super-Hi is built from. Maybe the Chinese PCB version lighter? I shipped a Super-Hi recently and it was just over 50lbs with a box...
