IDK. Shit is so fucked. Private insurance is the reason why everything is fucked....they conspire with hospitals and doctors unions to rape people. Average salary of a physician in 1962 was 110k adjusted for inflation, now it's 450k.
Look at pets, no one had pet insurance 20 years ago. Getting something done to your dog or cat was NBD. Now everyone has pet insurance and the cost of simple procedures or treatments is insane.

You hit on a big part of it: FREE Healthcare for people on the govt dole since birth. Someone has to pay for that and that someone is citizens who work and pay an ungodly amount for THEIR Healthcare.
This is a guess, but I think an enormous influx of immigrants from 3rd world countries that also receive FREE Healthcare may have added to the problem.

I had surgery for something with a jeet doctor, she was part of the diagnosis and it turned out she was completely wrong. Nothing bad happened...but...yea. My hospital is very highly rated out of the entire country...

That's because private equity has been buying up small and medium sized veterinary businesses driving up costs to where people need pet insurance to afford procedures that used to be reasonable. Now that would be a great way to dissuade people( the peasantry) from having, keeping pets and animals....Love, Klaus.

The US Human Medical System has changed from a medical care system providing the best care for the citizenry to a system to extract maximum cash from the citizenry to enrich the big hospital and insurance systems and this change within the last 10-15 years is more than noticeable especially if you have an elderly parent or parents. It appears the US is dealing with a system of austerity being implemented upon the populace since the US debt, SS/Medicare/Medicaid/ and 1 Trillion+ future Military budgets is unpayable and unsustainable.

I seem to remember Sarah Palin talking about death panels and now Canada has medically assisted over 100,000K Canadians to self delete. And you probably don't know they have revised the hippocratic oath.

its impossible to get anyone on the phone. all AI.
press this press, press that, pls hold, click, disconnected. this sucks bad
then finally get one and appointments are 6 weeks out. then after all that they dont take my plan
i remember the days doctors made house calls

so i thought Id outsmart them and went to the ER today. all they were able to do is take xrays, wrap it and give me some candy to drink.
they cant do MRIs or Cats unless I'm admitted and this wasn't serious enough to be admitted. so they sent me home

what im going to do now is milk it up Dan style.
I'm going back crawling and crying and try to con my way into getting admitted so they can run the proper tests

i finally got diagnosed after 3 orthos and many many yrs of knee pain

Took this ortho 3 minutes to figure it out
I should lawyer up to the other 3 who misdiagnosed me and made me suffer

All they did was shoot me up with cortisone and send me home with Meloxicam. Which did shit

I have plica syndrome. Basically knee tissue flapping around getting stuck in my joint.

Simple 15 minute arthroscopic procedure

Now they have to get the health insurance schmucks to approve it

Hopefully go in sometime in August

Dogs and cats are cheap and free, shelters are overflowing with cheap adoptable animals. I don't think Klaus has dissuaded anyone but yeah, if the vet bill exceeds the cost of the animal then finances force me to handle business myself. My sister had an old cat with cancer, spent like 12k treating it. Cat survived but she's out her damn mind paying that kind of dough IMO.
