I own both. A Badlander 100w and a MW Dual Rectifier.
Different enough that I have no problem keeping both.
There is a bit of overlap, I suppose if you compare "crush" on the Badlander with "Vintage hi-gain" on the MW, but they really excel at different things.
The MW has noticeably more lower mids and low end chunk compared to the leaner Badlander low end and more Marshall-ish upper mid content.
I look at as, a MW is the best 3 channel Recto iteration; absolutely very much Recto in its tone! A Badlander is more a modified JCM 800 style amp with some Recto inspiration. Yes, I know all Rectos can trace back to the JCM 800, but just stating for comparison sake.
If it matters, they also do feel different to play: Badlander is more immediate in attack and fairly dry.
