These "I am thinking" threads are funny. I can't tell if the OP is seeking board approval, wants to be talked out of it, wants others to make a decision for him/her, or just opening up the floor to indifference and opinion.

I would say that you should keep an LP for recording. Pretty much all the great Strat players that I know of still recorded certain licks on certain albums with on LP.

Do you need an LP Custom? No, sell it and buy a Les Paul "Studio." There's a reason they call it that.

Wants to be talked out of it cause I know it's the right thing to do.

I'm holding on to it and putting an Afwayu in it!

By the way, whenever I'm looking at some piece of gear I immediately come here and ask opinions. I value them. At the end of the day I make my own decisions, I always have, but it's nice to get input.
