POT was a darker, more complex and killer album from them. I loved the film clip for 'In My World' with its Lost Boys intro
I love the albums of that period of time around 88-90 where the big guys seemed to put out their tech or prog-iest kind of thrash albums, POT, AJFA, RIP, Seasons, Extreme Aggressions/Coma, CFH etc...
Feels like a cresting wave before the 90's shifted in to the alt scene for many bands and the new wave came through to take the baton of thrashier and harder stuff while the (relative) old guys kicked it back a few gears.

State of Euphoria was one of the first thrash albums I bought when I was 12. I tend to play antisocial and caught in a mosh when I'm playing songs.

I remember seeing Anthrax on Thrash of the Titans tour and Danny threw me a bunch of pics. They were like those big Clayton pics except they almost looked tie dyed. Had Bart Simpson on one side then his autograph on the other. I was a pretty big fan of both singers but was accustomed to Joey who I feel like didn't really like this type of music. I remember watching him headbang on a vhs tape and he was like holding his bangs while he headbanged look awkward af.

for me anthrax's first 3 records are great. Loved the public enemy thing. Sound of white noise is great. Everything else has like one or two decent songs, and a lot of forgettable filler. I loved them when i was younger, but the older i get, the more i kinda think they're lame compared to the rest of the OG thrash bands. They're fun live as long as they stick to the classics. i think joey and charlie are the super talents in that band. they all aged well because they're not a drinking/drug band. i loved john bush, but he belongs in Saint who i'm probably a bigger fan of.

Their last few albums have been really good. I haven't seen Anthrax live but really need to see them and would be a bucketlist for me. It's funny but when i was in the Air Force, I had a school I had to go to in New Jersey around 2005-2006. Anthrax had just reunited and were playing in that town, but I had just arrived, didn't know where it was, etc. I should have just gone.

Not sure what Ian is using for cabs now but I had his Randall slime green sig cab. Loved it. It’s what got me into 15’s….

There's some great stuff on those, kept hearing people praise Worship Music after it came out and really have dug their last couple of albums

I always say that out of the Big 4, Anthrax’s albums are the best production wise and in terms of consistence too. The band seems to be having a bit of a revival these days. My favourite is “I Am The Law”. Big Judge Dredd fan.
