Whats this new Friedman amp??

That and the way inflation has permeated the music gear market: knocking on the door of $2 grand for a 20 watt mini amp??? Not saying its 'over priced' but I guess EVERYTHING is 'over-priced' these days.
Good point. I do think there is something with this one that separates it from a lot of the other smaller watt amps that have been released. I think this is the first small amp head that does that Jose tone and has a lot more gain, etc. I had the JJ Jr. and Pink Taco V2 and both were great and had a great amount of gain but didn't get t9 this level.

Now if Dave makes a Synergy Jose module, I'll shit Tiffany cufflinks.....

Well somebody wanted a comparison. 1 is the 100, 2 is the 20

See people always say there isn't a difference but there is. It doesn't mean it is bad. It is like adding a subwoofer to a home stereo setup or an equalizer to your car stereo. You hear this rounded out, more low end, less high mids sound that comes out. For metal it just sounds more "heavy" IMO.

It is so impressive though that Dave is able to do that. Synergy has been able to accomplish that as well. I prefer my new Synergy Syn-2 and Fryette setup but my 20IR kicks ass as well.

I actually think its possible he makes more off of the amount of synergy modules he sells than amps, just because of how cheap and accessible the modules are

For computer recording guys the 20 is just fine but nothing but a 100 watt sounds like a 100 watt.
Yep and as others have mentioned, it becomes apparent when you crank it. At low volumes I don't notice a huge difference but when I'd crank my JJ Jr., the el84s would not sound as full.

At low volumes you are just getting the sound of the preamp.
