CLEVER!!!!!!!
My 1st tube amp was an 86 JCM 800 that I bought new and that amp changed the way I listened to amps! I wish I still had it, the only thing is now I've heard so many of the modded Marshalls on this forum and You-Tube I really dont think my 800 would hold up now days!

I haven't played that many Marshalls so keep that in mind. But I would have to say my Marshall 2553 Silver Jubilee.

I only thing I don't like about Marshalls is that you have to crank them to give up the goods. After hearing my Jubilee at 6 on the volume, it just doesn't sound as good at 4 which is what I have to play it at home :(

I am really GASing for a Class5, looks like a cool little amp.

Damn! That thing is clean for 30 years. Is that the same chassis ? That is very cool if it is.

See sig, would love to add a Plexi, I had a 50 watt 1974 Plexi a few years ago, dam I regret selling that one!

Ive enjoyed just about anything that Ive played by Marshall except the DSL/TSL series. I played a TSL that wasnt bad but it didnt really do it for me..

Kage

If you guys look it seems the chassis is in a garage and there are some chemicals in the background............................maybe buffed it?

My '87 JCM 800 2205 that I sold long ago

After that my Bob Wojick modded '85 2203.

On my last trip back to the Twin Cities I stopped at Solidbody Guitar. They have some of the most badass old Marshalls I've ever seen or heard. These ones are amazing:

Sorry I didn't really list my favorite, but these are the coolest ones I've heard in a while!

I love my '77 JMP 2203.

I also love my '87 2205.

I also love my JVM 410.

I also love my Jubilee 2555.

But I mostly love my Fortin Hulk modded plexi.

"What's Your Favorite MARSHALL?"

One that's turned off!!!!!

j/k I would like to have a nice 12000 series Plexi.

I haven't played every model Marshall makes but I owned the zw2203,slash 2555, dsl, tsl, jvm and a few others. My favorite is the 2555, it does exactly what I want.

Thanks man...

Digital Jams... No, no buffing... Just wiped it down, and used some metal cleaner like noxon... There was no pitting or oxidation This guy had this in a closet in San Francisco for 15 years! Never gigged or left his house! Look at the tolex that is original... It is AS NEW! And it sounds just great, if any of you haven't checked out the clip please do so!

Best,

Really looks good. I should give my JMP much needed TLC.

this marshall is my favorite. it has a master volume mod (i dont know if its pre or post) but is otherwise stock - it sounds just like van halen I.

the guy wants $1600 for it at the vintage guitar show thats annually held on the east coast each year. if i had enough money i wouldnt care about the price, the tone this amplifier can get is one of a kind. ive never heard or played another one like it.

I'd like to know more about this amp - is the owner a dealer? Do you have any contact info for him?

I've had a bunch of stock and modded Marshalls. My favorite modded one is my '78 JMP Cameron Jose.

Unmodded is actually a clone (does that count?) made by Brian Wallace of a JTM50 - tube rectified, bass tonestack but with the split cathode of the later superleads. Incredible huge and 3D sounding amp.

Out of the 30 or so Marshalls I've owned, this 69 plexi 100 is the best. It's mostly stock. :)

Now that I think about it I've owned this for 20 years now
