I'll go with either a Gibson LP plaintop or another strat to mod or another Caparison.
I've got rack fever right now, so thankfully the guitar GAS is on the d-low :)

Im a HUGE fan of Quilt so Im in love with the top but Im not a big fan of the guitar to be honest. That Schecter you had( still have?) looked better to me...

To answer your question, My next guitar will be a YJM strat, Vintage white with Maple board, no doubt about it...

I will own a YJM someday. Ynwies neck pickup tone is my favorite for shred tone.

For me, anything that says Anderson on the headstock induces GAS. But my favorites are the Drop Tops with the 1 5/8th nut width.

They're all custom ordered, so yeah you could get whatever you wanted on it.

It took me about a month to be tired of the scalloped fretboard. I wouldn't mind owning an identical Strat to a YJM but with a regular fretboard and the 3-way toggle switch on the YJM is pretty lame, gotta have a 5-way.

I owned several scalloped guitars and never got tired of the scallops and the 3 way never bothered me at all. Besides, putting in a 5 way is no big deal ... Im looking forward to the guitar...

the scalloping thing for me is an addiction, i have 3 strats scalloped including the YJM and it really is effortlessly for me for stritcly lead-type playing compared to normal neck. Hey Daneyo, one option u can do pretty easily if u don't really care about keeping the YJM 100% original, is u can dump the YJM neck on ebay and take that money to buy a 69' Custom Shop Neck which really similar in shape with the YJM neck, but is solid Maple Cap neck ( which i tend to think have better tone). I tried it and it fit perfectly snug on the YJM body and I just got it refretted with Dunlop 6000's. But I basically used an American 62 Vintage Reissue Body which is pretty much the same animal. Its pretty darn close to what Yngwie plays.

One of the best things I like about the YJM strat is it's intonation. By far the best out of my strats.
