I guess you don't spend much time on YouTube, there are tons of sync problems on there....unrelated to the performance.

I do actually spend too much time on youtube
It's not the whole video that was out of sync, just Coverdale sounds like a recording; stuff like pulling the mic away without any volume fade and such

The last live dvd was killer. Can't wait to check this one out too.

I have the original audio from that gig ..... the vocals are dreadful, no wonder it took so long to release the DVD ;) ;)

The thing is, I could care less if it's dubbed. What live performance isn't in some way?

That is why I prefer great quality bootleg recordings/DVDs, etc.

Couple of problems with this..

1. They already did a killer live DVD with Aldridge on drums in 2005 and Reb etc.. that was an incredible line up and the sound was HUGE.

2. Clearly there were overdubs on the vocals and other parts on that DVD so this would be no exception.

3. nearly 8 years later his voice definitely isn't getting any younger!! Listening to this promo vid confirms that.. even with voice overs after the fact.

4. Song list doesn't excite me that much..

5. How many live albums are they going to do? It's like the Ozzy with Zakk thing. How many diff live DVD's or shows did they release? I mean the live and loud was really good.. why bother with the budokan etc shit. It all starts to get very tired.

This is a cash grab.. not a labour of love. Coverdale looks like an old woman now too. for the love of god, lay off the plastic surgery and botox.

Guess you won't be picking it up then? ;)

This is from the 2004 DVD, someone's selectively ripped parts of the soundtrack to turn it into a backing track. It's pretty clear to pick out the actual live vocals, everything else (90%) has been punched-in in the studio.

I don't have a problem with it, and respect to Coverdale for being Coverdale, just thought it was interesting.

Same guy has half a dozen other songs from the same thing if you want to check those out.

WOW! We aren't just talking a passage here or there, we are talking the whole song! I guess it would be a shame to ruin the performance of an excellent band with shit vocals though so I can understand it somewhat though he doesn't sound too bad at the beginning.

Fool For Your Downtuning from Made In Lake Tahoe

I'll stick be picking this up, the guitars sound killer

The guitars on this don't sound as good as the 2005 DVD in my opinion..

I agree, Doug's tone on that dvd is his one of his best ever.

I think a little part of the problem on this one is that they're tuned so low
