Who still uses their Marshall SuperLead?

I don't have any 100w left anymore, on 50w; sure miss those days when I was able to play SL/SB stacks!
One of the most amazing stereo rig I've had:

I dig through the pile every once in awhile and get silly. I sold my 69 SuperBass (RIP Steve K) and 71 SuperLead earlier this year, but I've still got 5 different 100w amps plus a good number of 50 & 30w amps plus combos.

I need to get the shop straightened out and cleaned up to hook them all up again...like after the 2013 LA Amp Show.

I’ve got two ‘74’s. One 100w and one 50w and rip it up on a regular basis.

That's cause you live in the boonies of manteno.

I've been using my dimed Super lead into the Suhr load box then stereo out of my TC2290 into a Matrix power amp, sounds huge! Great tone at any volume, no tone suck!

Mmmmmmm...
I love those white SL's

I have a 1959 JCM800. It’s so freakin loud it can be painful. At normal volumes it is very clean. I use it for my pedals only rig.

I also have a 19959 JCM 800, and I agree. It's painful.

I ran it through the attenuator on my 2 Notes Captor this weekend and man, it sounded so damn good with a boost in front of it. Has me second guessing my for sale post.

Has anyone played the JMP 1959's vs a JCM era one? Assuming the JMP era were even louder, but what's the tonal difference? I know they went through a few revision from 75-79 as well

I have a few oldies that just have to run through attenuators, some high-end attenuators like the Tone King Iron Man have huge attenuation capabilities, they can get things like maxed out sunn model Ts and old school marshalls down to bedroom level with room to spare. Definitely a good option if volume isn't a big deal for the sounds you like.
