California is a long way from the southern US. Some of those areas are a different country by comparison.

I would guess that the people who feel the way you and tone do are mostly not in the south and are mostly associating with middle class white collar white people. Could be wrong I suppose but that generally matches my experiences outside the south and when dealing with blue collar sorts. Labor types generally have coarser language than office types.

I can sorta agree with you regarding my environment.

I want to say that I really DISLIKE most people here in LA...fucking space cadets and FOS mostly. Yes, mostly passive and come across as kind hearted but space cadets at the end of the day with no intention with ever following through on what they say.

I have some family there that fit that description lol. Every area has its positives and negatives you just gotta decide what suits you best. There are areas of this country I would rather be dead than forced to live in.

Then dont read it? i dont purposely strive to be contrarian its just who i am. I grew up playing blues surrounded by sycophantic worship of nirvana and pearl jam. I am a byproduct of mainstream corporate, political, and cultural idiocy.

I told a few people here i am kind of contrarian and now they are repeating it back to me lately.

I generally reject pop culture, music, politics, fashion, movies, etc but maybe thats cause its actual brain rot garbage more than just me being a contrarian.

I see Floyd as mainly believing mainstream conservative narratives. He sometimes busts my balls a lil but I do like the guy and hope hes getting that roof of his knocked out.

Yes, group think should always initially be rejected and THEN you do a deep dive to see if it has any quality/merit.

Being a critical thinker does not make you a contrarian.

Im willing to entertain alternative theories, especially ones that were accepted as factual for thousands of years prior to the last 150 years so its only group think if we count dead people as part of the group.

Again, contextual use. Use as a racial slur has history but not as old as the word itself and was also used by whites towards other whites.
