Maybe one day I will feel inspired to play again - maybe not. With the rising cost of gear, keeping what I have is sage advice. I didn't mean for it to sound like my only reason for playing is the prospect of profit alone... I thought that soliciting for a broader perspective would help tweak my attitude a bit, and it has.
Call me a dinosaur if you want, but I still enjoy listening to those wonderful clicks and pops of vinyl under my $5.99 Spencer's a black-light!![]()

I lose my muse, so to speak, about every decade. I'm just now coming off a 3+ year sabbatical and had 7 years straight off in the 90's. If it's in you, it will come back. When it does, you'll know it. With that said, I seem to have trouble letting go on the way out (when the inspiration dries up) until I realize everything I'm doing sucks and I'm having absolutely no fun with it, and I sometimes try to make the inspiration come back prematurely (did that for a number of months this time around). Nonetheless, if you aren't feeling it and are not having fun, let it go for as long as it takes.
