Man I hate the character. I’d rather see him in jeans and a T shirt. He can even keep the chains and sunglasses.

I hate that he said he never practiced. Total bullshit. Ron Keel said in the time they lived together, he NEVER saw him without a guitar in his hands, whether he was eating cereal or talking on the phone, whatever. Of course he practiced ! A lot ! Why deny it ? Be proud you put the 10,000 hours in !

His tone was so much better with the DiMarzio FS-1s. Those pickups are so great. Smooth, fat, and clear.

Denying the Uli/Blackmore/DiMeola influences is so disingenuous it’s disgusting.

I thought he said he never practices anymore as in now.. he mentioned that he'd play for hours on end as a kid. But to everything else I hear ya. Especially the FS-1. So if it turns out that hum in north america was the major reason for the switch in the first place, he def sacrificed his tone in the long run. Norum still uses FS-1's in a lot of his strats from what I understand and he sounds amazing with a strat.

The only point i disagree on, is YJM's wardrobe. I just love me a good pirate in gold chains.

He’s got a good size court on his property.

The company I work for had a property about 700 yards from his house and I never even knew it until after we sold the property. I at least would have driven by to see if I could hear some old Marshalls blaring softly.

Unrelated, but I snagged this screenshot the other day because I couldn’t tell if it was forced perspective or if Yngwie was just a giant…..clearly Yngwie is just a giant-
