Keep in mind that a classic (in other words, unmodded) 18 watt Marshall will be loud as balls before its giving up the goods you're probably looking for.


My Simo-Plex 1x12 combo (Greenback) is probably somewhere between 18 and 22 watts and by the time it's crunching good that bish is loud as fuck

See my Slaving thread today... That's what you need to do. Get a good 2204 or plexi circuit and send it out making sure everyone see's a load and then use the second amp's power amp to bring down overall volume and kerrang! Secret of the 70's and early 80's.
