As a result of Operation Midnight Hammer, Iran’s nuclear enrichment program was obliterated. There has been no efforts since then to try to rebuild their enrichment capability. The entrances to the underground facilities that were bombed have been buried and shuttered with cement. We continue to monitor for any early indicators on what position the current or any new leadership in Iran will take with regard to authorizing a nuclear weapons program.

Doesn't sound imminent to me.

Interesting. Could be possible. Looking back at her statements from past years, she can be a bit contradictory. What I do find interesting, is that if you are going to make a statement that carries so much weight in the current climate, why isn't it referenced in the actual report?
That's the kind of thing that seems contradictory to me.

You're right, she doesn't explicitly mention it there, but she was later asked the question directly by a Senator (there's videos online). She said it is not her job to determine imminent threat assessments-- it's the Presidents. Of course, that is not true. It is the job of the Intelligence Director to determine threat assessments, it's the job of the President to act on those assessments.

Me thinks she didn't want to go against the grain, or the White House, otherwise she would be another Noem or Bondi. Joe Kent was preemptive, he explicitly said there was no imminent threat, then of course resigned. Kent inferred there were "special interests" pushing the President to attack. Hmm, who could that be?

When looking for truths, consistencies is one the first things you look for. There certainly seem to be some lack of it which would lead persons to speculate that there is dishonestly coming from somewhere. Whether it be for self-preservation, personal gain or some other nefarious agenda. It's the swamp, so the truth may never be known.

That being said, there is no sympathy from me for the destruction of that terrorist country. It is tragic and unfortunate innocent people have died as a result of the years of actions coming out of that country.

But it is time to wrap it the fuck up.

But there was a lesson learned from Iraq. Saddam was an equally brutal dictator that would take out your entire lineage if you went against him. We took him out and created a bigger fucking mess and power vacuum for every fringe radical group in the region. Turns out, in that part of the world, sheer brutality and torture keeps regional order and stability. Terror served a functional purpose for us. Probably not a good thing to admit on Good Friday
