Love Andy Timmons.
If you're a fan of both his DD stuff and his ATB work, then you're actually missing his most impressive guitar work... and no, I don't mean his work as Olivia Newton John's band leader (which he is)... he plays the majority of guitar on Kip Winger's solo albums, which are fantastic progressive rock albums. This Conversation Seems Like a Dream is the perfect CD to get to know the solo work and to hear Andy really embracing a wide range of effects and tones.

And here's a great interview I did with him after the first ATB CD came out:

Enjoy,

Timmons has the greatest tone but his choice of amps are not up to Rig-Talk standards.

I love his tone here and notice that the Marshall's are off.

Yep that is some killer tone! I'm just now starting to get into his solo stuff. Not knowing where to begin, what is his staple stuff to start with?

Get 'That was then, this is now' Has a lot of the good ones on it. Including this one

Man that guy has some talent!

I can't say that Andy is my one-and-only favourite player,
but he is definitely in the top few on my list :)

Fantastic player, great to watch live!

I always preferred his song "Super 70's". It sounds like it belongs in a Sonic The Hedgehog game.
