Anyone Using Fluence Classics?

I never would have considered an active pickup for old school stuff but I think they sound pretty good in this Koch video.

I had a Satchel sig Charvel guitar for a little that came with them. They sounded good. Great for rock and could get good sounds from them.

Here is the video I did. Fast forward to 3:12 for the pickup section demo. I went through each configuration.

I think the classics sound far better than the moderns, even for metal.

My only experience with Fishman Fluence humbuckers was the epiphone branded set that came in my Cantrell Prophecy LP custom.
They had "epiphone" written on the bottom of the pcb board on each pickup.
They sucked so bad, I cut them out of the guitar with side cutters and through them in the trash.
Gutted the entire guitar electronics and re-did it with a 490R and an MCP Afwayu i had lying around. Much much better now.
Hard to believe Jerry signed off on those dog shit fishmans for the Prophecy guitar.
Having said all that, the vids above sound ok, so maybe the epi versions are downgraded?
