IF it doesn't go on your record. There are ways to have it removed but that's also a PITA.
It happened to me on a disputed medical bill many years ago: the hospital told me it had been turned over to an agency and I paid it that same day (the agency)...at least I knew they had to fork over some of that money to someone else.

Same here, my last loan was for my truck in 2015 that was paid off in a couple years. My incident was when I was young and newly married and of course money was much tighter then.

Are these really Data centers or Terminator factories???????????????????????????????? Since our current grid doesn't have the reserve capacity for any of these "DATA" centers......will the Utility companies cutoff power to millions of homes in the winter to keep the "DATA" centers up and running?????

It's about 30 miles from me and was big news when it was proposed, almost nightly reports of angry town hall meetings and irate residents....nobody wanted it except Amazon and the politicos they paid off. And here it is.
