Faith No More even though they are doing the reunion thing now without Jim Martin.

I was just listening to some Lost Horizon and being bummed out that they broke up. Got me thinking about all the bands that broke up before their prime was hit or before they were recognized fully. List away.

Check these guys out if you wanna hear one of the best power metal bands ever to have existed. Some may have seen the anime loop with the buildings exploding that features the part at 10:15 in this song.

Lost Horizon! One of my all-time favorites as well. It's a shame they broke up.

Wait, what?? When did that happen?!

They're on an indefinite hiatus since maybe a year or so ago...?

Man.. Decided they were my favorite band about ten years ago and they never moved from that place for me. Never did buy Major Minor yet though. Gunna have to. Though I'll admit, their older material is where it's at for me. Always evolving and expanding. Such a great band.

Major Minor is an excellent album. Their body of work overall is so diverse and so consistently excellent.

Thrice broke up at a weird time. It seemed like they were trying to take the band in too many directions and too far from the sound they had forged success with. Not saying bands have to stay in a box by any means but the 3-4 part concept album thing they put out was pretty weird.

Lots of awesome choices in here, I really like where this thread is going. I will add a few more.

The Rotted broke up this week and it bummed me right out because I was really excited for a new album. I wasn't a fan of their earlier project Gorerotted but when they started the Rotted I was a huge fan of everything they released under that name.

Chicago really just wasn't at all for me after Terry Keith died. I grew up with my Dad listening to Chicago a lot and ended up being a fan but after Terry Keith, nothing they did had the right feel.

Superjoint Ritual is apparently reforming, not sure who will be in the band but that band was wicked. All Star studded line up playing dirty, raw, filthy hardcore / punk type stuff. Just loved it.

Rage Against The Machine.

Such an innovative angry raw band. Nothing sounded like those guys, before or since.

VH, without MA!

Not. The. Same. Band.

Badlands.....yea man. A group that shoulda, coulda, woulda....

Bloodline.

Nevermore

Nailed it. i wish there would have been a Nevermore album where Broderick wrote and recorded with the band instead of just being a tour fill in

Have you guys heard the new Sanctuary album or clips? Warrell Dane and the drummer and others band before Nevermore has reformed and it's EXCELLENT.
