Best album of the 2020s …. So far :Periphery V

Haven’t really checked out any of their albums but now I have some Periphery & At The Gates to listen to.. So far everything has been pretty dope as far as instruments go. Vocals are another conversation…
I’m still waiting to hear from you on what you think the intro to Blinded By Fear sounds like but I’ll just save you some time. They were smacking a frying pan with a dildo to make that intro. I don’t think a Banana would sound like that do you?

It’s meant to be joke, relax… make some avocado toast and don’t get all snowflake cancel culture on me. it’s just a random factoid from a song/album/band that pretty much created metalcore and is relevant to a 2020 album release.

RIP Tomas Lindberg

That’s one weird analogy no pun intended… lol he did say “I don’t remember what we recorded” Then picked the wildest combo 😂.. whatever it was the intro is dope. Band that pretty much created metalcore? Now I’ve been searching for that answer for a minute. Seems everyone has their opinions on that subject as well. All I know is Killswitch helped refine it.

I agree on killswitch refining it. Listen to At the Gates Slaughter of the Souls, then listen to As I Lay Crying Shadows Are Security and that’s when I was like shit… That’s just one connection to branch off of

Now you’re speaking my language. AILD was my favorite metalcore band growing up until Parkway pulled up. Talk about some pansy look dudes who made some heavy ass bangers… Shadows are security is what sent me down the rabbit hole in the very beginning tho.. Classic 🔥 just checked out Slaugher of Souls.. Crazy at the gates was a decade ahead of AILD. Had to be a major influence on Nick & Phil. Dope 👍🏽

Those would go great with a cane and a purple beaver fur hat. Size 12, thanks!
Big Pimpin! 👌🏽 😂 shiiiiit someday… I have some stripes to earn before I can rock that drip. I know hectors would be comfortable but if you could only have 1 pick what would it be? Loaded question for you I know.

So far I’m diggin it bro, not sure if their other albums are like this or just straight screaming but this album definitely has variety. The electronic elements are dope.

Well, I made it about a third of the way through the first song, and...

No.

New Melvins and new Testament both slaughter the fuck out of this. And then there's the Melvins/Napalm Death album coming this year which will dig it up, brutally slaughter the fuck out of it again, and bury it under a mountain of defecation.

Basically Chuck Billy and Buzz Osbourne are both like here kids, hold my beer.
