NO!
The Fucking Thread should not be Locked or Deleted!!!
If anyone is trying to save bognermaniac any further
embarassment, Tough Shit....He's a Big Boy and completely
knew what he was trying to do.
He wasn't 100% Up Front, Deceptive, never disclosed what
the Amp really was and Refused a Refund in Front if the entire
Rig-Talk community....Basically saying "Tough Shit Dude, that's
how it goes and because of your Stellar Guitar Clips, you'll have
no problem making this Amp Shine and Selling it for what you
paid for, or more". THAT'S COMPLETE HORSESHIT!!!!!!
I've bought and Sold close to 100 Guitars and Amps from Rig-Talk
and have never seen a Bigger SCUM MOVE, the whole time I've
been here. FUCK bognermaniac's Feelings, his Name on the
Board, EVERYTHING...He should leave Rig-Talk by his own will and
never come back. All you Bleeding Heart Pussies, FUCK YOU &
FUCK HIM!!!

Okay... Bognermaniac is NOT the same ebay seller that I purchased from.

Here is the auction link:

I don't normally post in these types of threads. But, I came very close to buying this head when I saw it on eBay. I didn't know squat about the history of this amp. I took it for exactly what the auction said it was.

One VERY IMPORTANT thing to note: The seller changed the wording of the auction from his original listing. I still have the original listing on my Droid. I tried to scan it on my 3 in 1 printer and it won't come out. Here is the listing word for word (1st and 5th paragraphs):

"Up for auction is a Custom ground up build by Mark Cameron. It is a high gain Aldrich and HG Jose Style Head. It is 50 Watts using El34's (Winged C's) and three Ruby HG 12AX7's.

All the best components were used and the amp sounds amazing in a nice small portable package. Great for live and the best bedroom amp I've ever tried for a high gain amp. The component values are blacked out by Mark to protect his designs but no massive gooping like in his Marshall modded amps."

This amp was definitely being sold as a Cameron, and I almost bought it.

So this is the same dude? If it is I wonder if anybody still thinks this was an innocent miscommunication?

It has to be. I saw this auction yesterday morning. Which is the same time it was for sale on R/T. Plus, Bogner and this seller are both from Pittsburgh. I am from Pittsburgh, so I notice those things.

If anyone is moderating, I think it's time to delete or close this down. I think enough eyeballs have seen it already.

Thanks Rig-Talkers,

Are you kidding me? These parasitic, pusillanimous, hypocrites live for this shit! I you were someone they didn't like, they would be telling you that you should have asked more questions about the amp... Fucking jerk-offs! :jerkit:

I know exactly what you mean Bob... It seems like everyone who champions Mark Cameron is a fucking asshole.

The irony is that the good name of Mark Cameron was dragged through this sorry affair.

"Dragged through this sorry affair"

The amp actually got delivered. The Cameron brand name just got the biggest boost it's had in years!

These amps cannot be a Jose and an Aldrich under one hood. Jose is two gain stages and cathode follower and Aldrich is four gain stages. No possible without two different preamps which I have never seen. Eric sold me an amp that he had listed as Jose and Aldrich. I know these amps and could tell it was defintely just a Jose. It turned out to be an Ocean. I knew this amp was not built by Mark but many may not have. He should have been clearer. If you know Eric he is just like that. I wouldn't slay him this bad. He fucked up by not just sending the refund to make it go way for sure. He is not bad to deal with in any way. He dropped the ball on this one and I think he knows it. I would buy from him again in a second. You just need to ask him the right questions as he really doen't know for sure half the time what he is selling   Unfortunately in this case he got the wrong buyer who did not know as much as some others when it comes to these mods.

Actually, I was saying that you seem compelled to stay even though you state a severe distaste for the people here. Perhaps I misunderstood you and instead you're not making sweeping generalizations about everybody on the forum, but are instead making the generalization about a smaller subset.

Well if it's the same guy, then I don't know how anybody could think this was an innocent misunderstanding, regardless of the guys previous deals.

Wow I just took a SHIT and guess what it smells like SHIT!!!! This deal will always smell like SHIT! If anyone thinks this was OK in any stretch of their imagination please PM me so I never buy anything from you. Guess there are used car salesmen everywhere.

A very small subset for sure. I'm waiting for someone to jump-in and actually defend the seller...

So the plot thickens. By what Jerry just said, there's absolutely no excuse for the passing the amp off as a Cameron. This Nick guy is a straight up liar.

Nick is NOT a liar. Nick didn't sell it to this guy. Nick sold it to Dave and Dave knew who built it too. I have the emails from Vince when it was here for repair and he knew I built it too. Not sure where it gets ugly, but it wasn't at the beginning of the line.

Yes, Eric's name should be cleared. One lesson that should be learned here. If it looks and smells like a turd........
Most of us know what real Cameron amps and his mods look like. If something looks a little "off", just ask more specific questions. Like, "Hey do you have any documentation that this amp was built buy Mark Cameron?" Or "Was this amp really built by Mark Cameron?". I am sure Eric would have answered those questions honestly and this mess would have been prevented. I do agree that the ad was misleading, but come on.........the amp looked nothing like something Mark would build especially with a new "CAMERON" logo. Curiosity should have been raised and more specific questions should have been asked IMO. Glad it all worked out though.
Nah... I don't think so, man. Here is a Cameron ground up build that I own. Not signed by Mark, in a Standel chassis that he ripped the guts out and built from scratch. This look like any Cameron you've seen before?

cam_bld.jpg

Didn't think so... I don't have a COA from Mark (gimme a break), but I can tell you for a fact he built it and that I had the head case, panels and logo made for it. I've seen tons of one off mutants that Mark has built and no one can really say they know what a "Cameron ground up build" looks like...

If I advertised this for sale, I'd say it was Mark Cameron build because IT IS! Eric advertised an amp as a Cameron build when, in fact, he KNEW it wasn't. He's done the right thing by refunding the money, but it is shady that he advertised it that way in the first place and then initially refused the refund...

Wrong.

Nick never misrepresented anything.

Read the thread.

I had a few deal with Eric and they all went smooth, I think this is a case he advertised what he thought he had. Not everybody know how to tell a Jose from a Aldrich mod or if its real or fake. I guess when he found the truth after the sale he should have just did a quick refund and all of this would have been avoided. I will still buy from him. Just my 2cents.

Good Lord Steve! Don't give yourself a MI over this....I am not saying that the seller wasn't misleading in his ad. The amp you show does look like something I have seen before.....A Standel modded by Mark. But even though I have seen something similar or not, I still think it is wise to ask direct questions about the history of any amp you are purchasing....ESPECIALLY with the name Cameron tied to it and even more so if the amp looks a little "off" and then even more, more so if the price doesn't really reflect what the amp could be priced at if it was genuine.

In all fairness Steve, if you put this amp up for sale as a Cameron modded amp and I hadn't seen it before today, I would ask you about the specific history of the amp as far you knew. That doesn't mean I would be questioning your honesty, it just means I think it is important to be an informed buyer. I have been close to many purchases from very reliable and honest people and after a little digging, we both realized that something was a little "off" about a certain piece of gear. These were honest mistakes or oversights. Apparently, this was not an oversight or mistake by the seller......that's his issue. I just believe as a buyer it is important to do your homework. Shit happens.....honestly or not.
