I wouldn't say that I refused to refund Alex's payment. When he contacted me my first reaction was, "This is not a Cameron modded amp'? How do you know?" To be honest, until everyone on here started slamming me and the amp and saying it wasn't a Cameron amp, I really thought it was. When I started to inquire about it and before I had time to confirm what the amp actually was, Alex started the Fake thread and all this began.

Fact is after Alex and I had time to finish exchanging messages about it, I refunded his money and we left it amicably. I probably described the amp wrong and he jumped the gun bashing me. Glip22 is probably right, I trust what allot of what the guys on here say an amp is because some are very knowledgable and some are not. That's why I post pics of the inside and out of amps on my listings.

Jerry at FJA explained the amp to me and it's origins (Very cool of you Jerry) and now I am seeking restitution from the original culprit who apparently started the Cameron tag on it. He still contends it's a Cameron modded amp even after Jerry's explanation of the amp and me being taken down like I'm Nixon .

I've sold and bought amps from a dozen guys on here multiple times , and they all know I'm a stand up guy and gear head. Unfortunately only a couple of them, which I appreciate, had the decency to talk of their experiences with me on this thread. Over 1100 positive transactions on Ebay over 14 years and I've been on Rigtalk since 2006 I believe, and several other forums as well. I don't think a scammer or liar would have those credentials or would last a day on those sites.

It's really a shame because I liked Rigtalk and all the guys I've done deals with on here over the years, but shit happens I guess, and it wouldn't matter what I said on here anyway.

Well, I did. Maybe I missed something in this cluster fuck of a deal over an ugly amp with Mark Cameron's name on the front, regardless of who built it. It's like anything with the name Cameron on the front comes with excess drama and scandal. I apologize if I spoke out of ignorance regarding this

Did you miss the part where he told the seller that he never claimed it was modded or built by Cameron? You can't have it both ways. Either he didn't know it wasn't a Cameron himself and sold it that way or he wasn't even trying to sell it as a Cameron.

Bognermaniac advertised a Cameron 50 watt that was a " custom ground up build Mark Cameron."

THIS WAS OF COURSE A COMPLETE LIE. It was a $500 kit with a Cameron name-plate on the front.

This all happened this morning and Eric and had plenty of time to refund me the amp before dropping it at UPS.

I am going to dispute the charge on my credit card.

I never said this was built by Mark Cameron himself, and everybody knows that Mark signs all the amps he's modded personally. There were plenty of pictures of the amp, inside and out, and it was described as too what mods and style of mods were in it.
Alex messaged me on Rigtalk and the Gear Page telling me he wanted to buy it and offered me Less money for it. I agreed and he sent payment.
I'm not out too screw anybody and I've had tons of dealings with guys on here over the years. He said that he knew is was a custom build from the "Community" here and he still bought it?
I've sold dozens of amps on here and have had only good dealings with everyone. I've offered to reduce the price for Alex in good faith, since he mistunderstood what it was.

Then:

To really clear up the record, I bought this amp off of Splawner who said it was a Mark Cameron Modded amp!

My points have never been about seller.....they have been about buyers and doing more research. There were enough red flags about these ads to warrant more questions. Nothing more, nothing less.

You made a statement about others in this thread posting opinions without all of the facts. I simply pointed you to those facts. If you're saying buyers should do research before buying then I agree but the inference in this thread is that the buyer was somehow at fault here, even if only partially. If that's not what you're saying then think about the context of this thread because perhaps this is the wrong thread to make such statements.
