No man - I am just trying to keep it anonymous. No need for names right now. I am trying to be respectful. I am thinking this will go the refund route and I am being strung along. Seems like a waste of time to bother to put up listings for things that you don't have. Inevitably people are going to complain. Bad way to do business to me. I doubt the manufacturer puts this guy ahead of a large company like Sweetwater. I should have known better

If it is Guitar Guru - spill it. He doesn't deserve any respect, PERIOD. He's done this to MANY, myself included, (not once, but TWICE). Drop-shipping is "Prohibited", according to Reverb, yet this Asshole still does it, and Reverb doesn't do squat about it..

It's no bother at all to post stock photos, and take $2000+ for something you don't have.

Reverb doesn't allow drop shipping and they require a seller to have the item in their own possession if they say it's in stock. Shouldn't have a problem getting your refund.

They don't do shit about it. I had to get refunds from Guitar Guru twice, and another dealer "Where Wire Meets Wood" twice, for selling me Randalls he didn't have. I got Reverb involved on all accounts, and guess what, they're still at it.


Yeah, I'm an idiot for giving either a second chance. An even bigger idiot for thinking Reverb will do anything.

Yeah you guys are right. They called me offering to throw in a pedal etc. I think they were trying to keep the sake somehow. Said they were calling Bogner today. Still no tracking info. I doubt I get anything tomorrow either and will ask for a refund. Seems like not an honest way to represent themselves. I pointed out to them on the phone that they showed it was in stock and shipping from Atlanta. I got fooled but I will get my refund.

Guitar Guru is a scam artist. He burned me twice. The second time, he pulled the fake tracking number routine. The package showed delivered months before I ordered it, and on the other side of the country. It's a sneaky way for him to get PAID immediately, while he starts the cycle of lies.
This time, he said he forgot that they sold the very amp over the weekend. But, oddly enough, he showed 2 in stock.. So, he KNOWINGLY posted a fake tracking number? Obviously..

After that, he claimed to have this wonderful relationship with Friedman, he acted like he pulled off the impossible, and they would ship me one directly, (IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS). Plus, California to Florida, so add another. I told him to pound sand. Fuck this guy. Scam artist.

The other thing this fucker likes to do, is list the same item in multiple listings. Also "prohibited".

If this weren't bad enough, he also lists items at times lower than he's allowed to by the manufacturer, just for quick-sale cash grabs, and doesn't have stock.

Lightbulb went off while reading this, as he had a different Bogner listed as in stock that I wanted and couldn’t find anywhere else. Luckily I messaged him before I clicked buy and he said “oh I forgot to update this listing, I just sold my last one but I can get one out to you in a week.” Thank god I passed on that bullshit.

Wow -- you called it. I actually received something I bought from them once, but had to prompt the guy to ship it. He couldn't remember what I had ordered, which I thought was odd considering it's Reverb. The second time I got a fake tracking number and excuses. It doesn't surprise me he's burned others too.

That really sucks, sorry to hear about this! It has happened to me as well. They say in stock and yet they don't have it. Totally misrepresentation. As much as I wanted to get this amp as well, I just gave up and said forget it and got something else that I am very happy with at this point. I really like the Bogner stuff as well.

I'm wondering if Sweetwater will have them in again soon? The 1x12 cabs just came back in stock but I believe they may be made somewhere else so that my rule that out....

You know this sounded all to familiar so I went back in my Ebay transactions to 2018 when I bought Friedman ASC12. They just came out and were hard to find. This guy had a new one on Ebay for a good price. I did a BIN and then the fun began. He told me he just sold his last one the day before and forgot to take down the ad. But he was tight with Friedman and would have them drop ship me a fresh one. After a week or so He said he had an illness in the family to attend to or some BS like that.Well after two weeks of going around with this guy I got it but it was a fiasco. Sure enough looking back, it was from Guitar GuRu network. My exchange looked a lot like the one above including the delay tactics, being out of town and blaming Friedman.

I don’t know how you can deny a refund on an amp you never had and never shipped. They put in some more phony tracking today. I emailed Reverb and will call my bank tomorrow. Unethical - I think I am done with Reverb. They don’t make it easy to deal with this shit. I should have stuck with Sweetwater. At least get a fair shake.

Hey Doug ,
Here’s what happened- First and foremost please disregard the tracking. That was a mistake. As was my telling you it would ship immediately. I apologize as I didn’t realize the one we had sold Saturday.
I contacted Friedman who said they do me a favor and drop ship a new one to you but they’ll need a couple weeks to get one ready. If and only if you’re able to wait it’ll then ship via your choice of Fedex or ups.
Kindly advise, and please accept my apology for any inconvenience.
