One speaker does not pass 105 db in the 2-3k region. The other one does. 20 vs 25 watts. They're different speakers.

Hey igmo, no one is arguing about the EVH being a different speaker or not. It's about the power handling which has been proven multiple times over to be 25 watts. Frequency doesn't dictate power handling. No one cares what Canada's laws say, it's a useless country.

There could very well be that 3db difference in two of the exact same speaker made on the exact same day from the exact same factory, back to back on the assembly line it's completely meaningless

that's why everyone is ignoring it, because everyone who knows anything about speakers knows its a completely moot point

Well the manufacturer of the speaker here is Celestion to be clear. They manufacture the speaker, they make the product, they run the test, they gather the data and specs not EVH/Fender.

All Im saying here is be aware, use discretion, be safe, know what you're dealing with, know and understand the possible risk if you ever did decide to push it or crank it and depending on how you use it.

So which speaker's frequency graphs are you comparing? To me they look like the EVH and the G12M Heritage from Celestion's site. Are those the one's you posted?

As you can see by simple maths 20x4 is 80. (Thanks, professor dipshit)

The evh website says the cab is 100 watts, but it doesnt say what the individual speaker rating is. (Simple maths does actually tell you this)

If you are going to still use this cab, just be aware of safety. (There literally are no safety concerns)

IME it is dangerous not to match cabinet wattage/impedance to head. (I think it is probably dangerous for you to walk down the street unaccompanied by a mentally competent adult)
