Well originally Germany wanted to deport them. That became too difficult for one reason or another and that's when the "final solution" was conceived by them. So there is some comparison to be had.

However I'm guessing acceptance (who I have on ignore as a self professed satanist) doesn't agree with the deporting them. I do however if they are illegal they shouldn't be there.

My point was if they live in a land now with guns and they can get guns then I was sceptical it would help them avoid being deported like the Jews. It's not like the Jews were a standing army either. They were dispersed widely and weren't organised like that. Guns would not have helped them.

It didn't help people in Russia during the Stalin era either. They were rounded up too.

Perhaps saying deporting them isn't showing compassion and mercy. It's not properly recognising they are real human beings that deserve compassion.

The people that should be deported are the democrats that encouraged the illegal immigration and allowed it to snowball without taking action to stop it. They should be held responsible for it.

Both involve a forced expulsion of a population by government agents. Both are/were supported by some of the broader population, but not all. Both involve the potential splitting of parents and children. Both create an environment of fear in some of the population and and the justification of authoritarian policies in others.
