Can you get a JCM 800-esque tone with a 5150?

Well, Maybe with an eq. The 5150 deffinately has the mids for that 800 growl. Its a very middy amp. Youd have to shave off some of that low mid gunk the 5150 is full of to get it into marshall tightness IMO

If you want JCM 800 tone, just get a JCM 800.

Or a Laney GH50L..
