it is obvious to me that the secret to Chub's tone is the increased ambience from seating the cabinet next to the 2 drawer metal filing cabinet

seriously though, this disc, Pete Thorn's, and Darren Stroud's disc are all must haves for people into instrumental guitar rock.

Anybody else have an instrumental disc on Rig Talk?
Check out Bob Savage's CD "Retrofitted" as well - just killer...

+1 to that, good stuff.

I also have some of Ed's too...

I am currently arranging 2 file cabinets next to an old Basketweave cab and am leaving the top drawer of one open and the bottom drawer of the other open, creating a virtual panning reverb that could never be achieved with just one file cab...

ha! that is great!

by the way, CT, i heard some samples of your album when i was looking into getting a Splawn. great stuff! i know what you mean about "stupid loud", haha. i built myself an iso cab in my basement out of and old picket fence and some lounge chair cushions and then covered it with 2 layers of drywall......right underneath my 1 years old sons bedroom, no insulation in the floor and he naps right through it. either he is deaf or it's working, haha

i gotta try this file cab thing. i wonder if you put 1 at each of the 4 points of the compass, do you get a leslie rotating speaker effect?

I was just going to post this myself. He got some great chewy tone on that CD.
