I wonder if there is an axe fx in there...

They used the Axefx one time to save on power consumption in the damn arctic. They've said several times that the axefx is not and will not be part of their live or studio set ups.

The amps consume relatively little power compared to the PA.

who would want a hetfield sig based on his current tone?? ... looks like one of those cabs has had a rebadging (probably kirks)

I love the Stiletto sound. I hate they discontinued that model. It's the only Mesa I can dial in without clearing my schedule.

Ha! I have been a single channel guy forever that set my JTM45 about ten years ago and haven't touched it since so I thought my head would explode when I got my Triple Rec.
I can navigate that thing with ease. Very intuitive and quick to set for any sound.
For me anyway.

Turn down the bass and hit it with a Maxon 808.
Perfect heavy tone.

Sorry, doesn't get any better. No matter how many thousands more you pay.

Looks a bit like the Randall Nunu amp with the old school vibe

They have several modified Stilettos and James has been working with Boogie on an amp for a few years now. Time will tell.

James has went this far in his career without allowing a signature amp. Not sure why he would let that happen now. And, he would never play anything that needed a Maxon 808 in front of it to produce an adequate tone. This takes out the Rectifier line of amps.

People said the same thing about his pickups. This has been going on just as long.

Adequate tone? Hardly.

Not needed. Killer with and killer without.

After going through some Recto's..... I wouldn't use one without a boost. I actually dislike the Recto's in stock form. For me, if they're not modded they better be boosted. The Mark series amps however really don't need a boost since they have a lot more gain going on. The last Mark III I had had soo much more gain than a Roadster, Dual or Triple Recto. Actually, not soo much a gain thing as a boost tighten them up allowing you to dial out the fizz.

The only way i can play a recto is boosted, sorry to the anti boost guys but i hate the feel and the lows when its not boosted.
i dont care about putting a pedal in front of a amp, so what, i get the tone i like with the boost and i think it feels better too.
purist guys shouldnt change pickups in their guitars either, just play them stock like you do your amps.

Yeah, this is exactly how I feel - their tone goes to shit and that's when he gets signature EMGs and Boogie?

His tone went to shit when he started using Diezel.
We all know it's true.
Pretending won't make the truth to away.
