Hey Jazzer do you have the tracking info or any proof for the block you state you returned?

"Here we only have one guy who says his block was damaged (I doubt it – but I will play along) – DID NOT send it back – DID get a refund AND is getting another block."

didn't he originally say he already sent TWO replacements? yup...

"I sent 2 replacements… I get the feeling you are looking for a third. "
"The 2 replacements were at my cost – is that direct?"
you can all continue to be judge, jury and lynch mob

my questions for the floor
1) if the block was not damaged, and Adam now doubts that to be true
what about this picture I sent at the time of the enquiry asking if this was a common problem?

web.jpg

2)If i did not send it back, why was another block allegedly sent out? and another?

3) If I did not send it back, why has it taken until now for Adam to make that claim?

4) If I did not send it back, what is this receipt for a 0.219kg package really for?

web.jpg

5) why do we keep talking about the refund I got and omit to mention it was 30% short?
such details are important.

Christ dude that is so minor for something you or any one else will not even see,
Not counting the damage wouldn't even affect how the block works..

ok boys and girls - here is the US customs number for block number 4 (POST REFUND) - LC107726400US - leaving tomorrow morning.... (4 blocks shipped - zero paid for - my treat!)

You can see the massive damage one the original block - no problem - return it... blah - blah blah... whatever.
Here goes the last replacement... in public... with tracking... I will still do the install and setup need be.

Notice to the guy questioning me about my quality compared to the RIP-OFF guys that copied me - Yes - I have seen their crap - and no, NO PROS use it - double check my list players who know a thing or two about tone. I guess they trust me for no good reason...

SO - when the new block arrives - I expect 200 posts about how bad it sucks. I have to get back to servicing my other clients (Pro and non-pro) who need assistance, quality product and service.

Thanks again to all of my loyal freinds who use FloydUpgrades.com

so wait now its 4 block yet a few posts ago it was 2???

"I sent 2 replacements… I get the feeling you are looking for a third. "

why are you still asking him to return the block he has proven he already has???

sure your product was the first on the market. that in itself can account for why so many pros use it; they got them when no one else was selling them and the sustain benefits of brass over second rate alloys are well documented. unless of course you take into account that EVH had a brass block in his "frankie" guitar 20 years ago. maybe you ripped off the guy who /designed/made/installed that one. nah couldn't be cuz the pros use em. why even mention that no pros use KGC, i didn't ask and don't care. I would never buy any product based on who else uses it.

trust??? really? trust has NOTHING to do with it. not a single one blindly trusted you with their tone. they auditioned the block and decided if they liked it, which apparently most do. the tech throws one in, the guitarist plays it and if it good it stays. don't insult us and attempt to have us believe that every one of those pros paid for their blocks. or even sought you out. endorsements are the best advertisement possible and usually less expensive than true advertising.

Even I have endorsements as a tech, why? because the more players i have using said products the more free advertising for the companies.

I haven't questioned your quality, I have stated that in appearance at the least the KGC are higher. can you elaborate on how theirs qualify as "crap" in comparison to yours? they have even done spectral analysis in order to be certain of the harmonics created by their metals .absolutely critical to a guitar and its sound.

I wouldn't have returned that block for that small defect, but I am also not jazzer. I would however expect a product sold as new condition to meet a certain fit and finish standard. Ive returned a guitar for a paint flaw in the past. it didn't affect it playability but it bothered me that the QC was low enough to let it slide. everyone is entitled to their own interpretation of what is acceptable as new. jazzer is obviously very particular, that is his own prerogative.

what I find most interesting in all of this thread is that whenever asked a question directly by any of the forum members that you cant answer in a manner that paints your service or product in a better light, you just completely ignore it.

maybe I should "ask the pros"...

Original plus 2 replacements = 3 blocks. Now Adam claims a 4th is being sent out.

Death by Uberschall – Thanks for helping the cartoon guy with his math and counting up to 4. I know this gets complicated… And to address the cartoon robot guy – you could not be more wrong about how the artist process works. But I can see there is no telling you anything – you seem to know it all! I do all of the artist installs – either on site at the little gigs (like The Garden, etc.) – or I go out on the road with them for a bit. Some guys send their tour guitars to me in advance before a tour – Some guys, I fly out to go take care of at their homes AND Many come to my studio to do the work. I have known most of the guys before starting FU from my other company D-Tuner (EVH D-tuna). Yes – many have sought me out as well. Funny, you were not on my radar… I also have turned down working with some pretty big names as I will not work with any artist that is not a friend or who I know has a bad reputation in the industry.

I really do not have to defend myself to you.

My advice is – do not use my stuff if it is not right for you. (And spend more time playing your guitar instead of bitching.)
(This post should keep you busy all day!)

As usual – To all of my loyal supporters, clients, friends and tone junkies – THANK YOU!

Crank it up and rock the day!!!

hey adam, any chance you will be carrying tungsten blocks for ibanez, floyds, etc in the future?

I think the original poster will be totally satisfied once he has free blocks for all of his guitars. :)

Maybe... I have a few new items in development now and a few new artists that I still need to add to the site. New swag coming too! If there is enough demand for it, I would carry them. I have my hands full now! Keep an eye out. The new acoustic bridge pins (titanium and brass) are really cool and out of my normal scope of locking trems. Don Felder, Steve Brown and Phil Collen are using them. I will consult with computer robot guy for advice!

Ha! I hope so... I don't want to have to fly to the UK to complete this customer service call and set up his guitars...
(PS - Nice line of amps you have there! I love the SLO-100!)
Cheers!

Glad to help. I still can't believe all of this is over that little mark on that block. The OP could have saved himself a whole lot of time and trouble by just sanding or getting a small file to bring down that corner. Wouldn't affect that block in a negative way one bit.

On a side note: Do you have any plans to add 7-string blocks (Floyd & Ibanez), or something for the Jackson 'Lo-Pro"?

Thanks Bro!
YES! The standard Floyd blocks will fit most Floyd 7's. Ibanez in the works. New Jackson block on the site.
I agree with you - the nick is nothing - but he feels that it is... Forget the money in blocks I spent trying to make him happy - I have HOURS invested in this too. All for ZERO dollars. I do have to admit though... I hated these boards before - this is kind of fun! A lot of it is just for fun - some guys get out of hand with it. I am enjoying it a bit!
Thanks for the support!

Cool, thanks.

It seems to me the only reason you entered this thread was to defend yourself, feeling a bit conflicted or just more contradictions?

I do understand that some of my post is speculation. that speculation is based on my experience. I know what I know about the industry as I make my living as a guitar tech, I feel no need to rattle off names to "impress" you or lend myself credibility. My artists are well aware of my capabilities.

I have my own multiple endorsements. I went searching for NONE of them. The artist reps come to me with fancy offers and no one has EVER asked for money. Sure I could be wrong about the way you operate surrounding endorsements, I guess your the one guy going against the grain. I am not surprised.

I spent the last year across 17 countries, one gig was 90,000 people, even larger than the Garden you somehow think adds to your credibility. Does that make me more credible than you in your eyes? It should according to your apparent standards.

You choose to attempt to insult me and my mathematical skill instead of answering the real questions I have asked you. If I called on the phone and asked these same questions as a prospective customer would you have treated me the same way? I can only imagine as I will never be calling. I haven't resorted to insulting you, even having gone so far as to edit a post I found unfair to you. your true colors are currently gleaming.

Even after 30 or so people posting in support of you I have already had private messages from other members who have decided they will not use your products secondary to your behavior in this thread. Some asking for my opinion on other manufacturers blocks.

once again you avoid the real issues. And the hard answers to the real questions. Jazzers posts haven't tarnished your reputation in my eyes; yours have. you are correct there has been enough said directly between us. I can see it will go nowhere further in any direction that is constructive.

Good Luck! Truly enjoy your life and I will do the same. Seriously, I wish you no ill will. Karma's a bitch.

Yes - You are right - I needed to defend myself and my company from nasty comments made publicly. You tell me there is no ill will – then say karma’s a bitch right after – please explain your contradiction as I am confused. If you are a pro tech – I suggest you call some of the top pro techs in the industry and double check my credentials. If you are a pro tech in the industry – we should have many friends in common. If you are a pro tech, you should use your real name and photo and not hide behind a fake name and picture. I have some guy on here posting pictures of me because there was a nick in his block! I am sure you are well qualified to give advice to people in private emails when you have not used the products in comparison… I have nothing to hide – I have posted my name, website and email info. You are way off base here. Why don’t you post your name – or just email it to me in private so I know who I am talking to. -- "The Garden show"... just an example... I have done thousands of shows as well - everywhere.

NOTE: The new block to Lee has shipped today.

As usual – to the rest of the cool people who have supported me – THANKS!!!!
I will continue to deliver quality products and service to you!

Cheers!
