Fortin All Tube Pedal Amp...U guys seen this?

That 1 watt thing is kind of cool actually. Here's how i see it: If you want more watts you can always run the FX send of the pedal into the return of another amp or a seperate power amp of your choice. And for those with a higher wattage amp like my Quickrod, could plug into the return of this pedal and have a nice little 1 watt power amp for lower volume. Does this sound about right Mike?

Yeah, count me in, I'd absolutely love to have one of these.

Mike is there a speaker/cab you are going to recommend for this ? As usual I am amazed by your work...

This is cool!!!!

Just a little quick iphone clip of the pedal I built for Dave Linsk.

Seems lots of gigging musicians need something they can carry on the plane with them for fly dates. Racks are still a bit big to bring and then there is the footswitch control issue and power amp. This little thing feels like an amp because it is an all tube amp.
Cheers,
Mike

this is way too cool but can this pedal amp be intergrated into an amp head as preamp section hooking up to the output tube of my amp head?

the youtube video says it has an effects send. you could just chuck the preamp out through the send into the return of your amp head.

All tube pedal amp with tube class AB power amp. Controls: Girth, Grind w/pull shift, Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, 3 way EQ shift, Depth, Presence, Master 1 and Master 2
Back panel FX Send, Series Return, Paralllel Return, Speaker out 1 and out 1, Two line outs with level controls both transformer isolated and signal tapped off output transformer. Can be run with or without external load. AC Mains via IEC standard inlet.

Holy crap! Put me on the list! Is there a list? Somebody make a damn list.

i want on the list. My Mom lives in Oshawa does that get me further ahead in the line?

Nice to see someone taking a step beyond the Koch, this looks really cool.

Wow, this looks and sounds amazing Mike. I can't believe how busy you are. Your work ethic is second to none.

Thanks Chad, I'm going to slow down for next year. Since March we've done 14 Randall designs, learning a new software suite and trying to finish up my old orders through FA.....its a wonder that I haven't lost my hair

Hey Mike,

It appears that a bunch of people here on Rig Talk would be very interested in picking this up. Is there any way that we can set-up a way to reserve these for forum members prior to production? I'd hate to not be able to get my hands on one!

Best,

Paul

Hey Paul,
I can let you guys know first when they'll be available. I am at a point where I can at least float the first production run on something like these, so no deposit or pre-orders...they be available when they are built through Mod Squad Music and or direct.

Holy crap!

I was waiting for that DAR pedal thing to happen, but we all know how that's going... I posted a comment somewhere that Fortin should make some sort of pedal amplifier, because there's obviously a market for it since we are starting to see things like the Two Notes CAB, AMT pedals, etc. It looks like my wish has been granted. I am DEFINITELY interested since this can be run without a load, but is the power section solid state, or is there a couple of tubes somehow crammed in there?

EDIT - 1w. :(

It's not about the power output on this pedal amp...its more about getting it to feel like a real tube amp. Keeping in mind this is geared for players that do gigs where they can't bring all their heavy rigs and have to rely on backline. Backline is never a problem say over in Euro, getting something that you prefer is ;) So this is one solution.

Hey Kent,
You can run it into a speaker or not... at the same time use 2 transformer isolated line outs that each have a level control to drive either the front end input of an amp or fx return or into a stand alone power amp. Wait until you see a Randall power solution we're working on....total game changer that will fit onto your pedal board LOL.

I ran out of room on this proto but the real one will also have one of the line outs with a phase switch for situation where you are running into 2 amps at the same time etc. The line outs are right off the OT so the 2 switchable masters, presence and depth controls all add to the signal.

Thanks Stephen! Nah, any old speaker will do. Linsk is using an old Sony 4" mini PC monitor for the hotel room

That is the main goal of this pedal.

Exactly, you could use the fx send or split it there. It has a fully featured tube fx loop....throw your delay pedal and whatever else in the loop of the pedal amp then use the line outs to a back line amp....you got all your effects, switching etc at your feet and everything coming out of the backline.

The Koch is a cool pedal....it would have been nice if they had that internal tube drive come out to drive a speaker:-)

Cheers,
Mike

You guys have no idea what you are in store for and I mean that in the best of ways!! Mike has come up with a solution for Just about everything I've ever wanted gear wise and the rumors are true.... He does not sleep.....he is actually a Robot lol :D

Mike showed me that Proto a long while back and it was killing me that we could not tell anyone about it ahaha :D

Thanks Ralph.

Randall is going to have a few new things to show at Namm 2013 as well as some wonderful new announcements!

Dave Linsk using this pedal amp at Heavy TO in Toronto last week....

The pedal amp is out front on the floor with some stomp box effects and wah...line out that is feeding off the little power amp section of the pedal to the fx return of the Marshall TSL.
That is it....5 minutes to set up and break down...great solution for large festivals like this where you only have 1/2 hour between each band....some are even tighter on the change over.

You are very Welcome brother!

I'm proud of ya!!

Could you possibly fit a similar power section to the EH Magnum 44 in there for more power? That way you could use the line out to a backline if needed, but you could also run a 4x12 alone if needed?

Just thinking out loud.

Either way, that sounds incredible and would be a GREAT solution. I travel to gigs once in a while and it would be great to have one. I typically carry a few really great pedals, but your pedal/amp would be even better. More amp like.
