Just no 1 watt love around here. :(
I wouldn't know why! You don't have to move major weight, you don't have to pay for huge transformers or replace a quad of whatever every year or so. And of course you can add power with a PA or other poweramp if the need be. I see a huge market for the bedroom wangker, and I know for sure they will sell more than just another Marshall clone/mod. I don't build amps anymore, but my one watt super lead was my biggest draw once I released it.

WTB Mike, this is the first amp I may have to buy in a long long time.

Add a headphone jack and you have the potential to kill the modeling market. :D

I can't wait for this to be available, great job Mike!

this plus a two notes CAB and got a damn killer portable DI rig.... i want one mike, haha.

1w might be a good thing especially if i wanna use it mostly DI with speaker emulation. 1w would be great for home practice and leave a poweramp/cab at practice space or whatever.

i don't if it's feasible or what it could mean for the cost, but if there was anyway to load digital IR .wav files, that would be most excellent, better than having an analog speaker emulated output, IMO.

Exactly what I was thinking. I have the Two-Notes Live. Could use it with that and one space fx and have a great portable rig. :D

Could you possibly fit a similar power section to the EH Magnum 44 in there for more power? That way you could use the line out to a backline if needed, but you could also run a 4x12 alone if needed?

Just thinking out loud.

Either way, that sounds incredible and would be a GREAT solution. I travel to gigs once in a while and it would be great to have one. I typically carry a few really great pedals, but your pedal/amp would be even better. More amp like.

Sure, those are great for external use....so to market will be a better and more power solution is a small package ;)

It already can drive headphones :)

The production one will have a speaker emu on it. As for the other stuff standby for next year....all I can atm.

Cheers,
Mike

I would think this unit would be great to use with the digital modelers to get a better feel/tone....

Hey Mike,

It appears that a bunch of people here on Rig Talk would be very interested in picking this up. Is there any way that we can set-up a way to reserve these for forum members prior to production? I'd hate to not be able to get my hands on one!

Best,

Paul
Perhaps a Rig-Talk special model? :D

You're more than welcome.
Just curious, are you using the 6DJ8(I think the new listing is 61P1) for the 1 watt OP?
And, I just have to say it's really cool how you got into PCBs in such a nice way. I almost killed myself trying to hand wire stuff when I had backorders up the yingyang. I doubt anyone can really make big bucks selling hand wired stuff, well almost anyone.
Good luck in the future...

That is seriously cool... also I would have never thought I'd be waiting for winter NAMM to see what RANDALL is coming out with

Thanks man:-)

It's a 12au7 in the power amp push pull config. Any 12A*7 can be substituted...output power will vary.

This proto is of course ptp....it will be all PCB in the future. I agree with you on the ptp.
It is tough making $$ on it due to the large amount of labour involved.
Cheers

Thank you for the support!
I will be at the Randall booth this year at NAMM. Stop by, I'd love to meet some
Rig talk members.

Cheers

So, anyone got anything on this? I certainly am very interested, I do a lot of fly dates, and it freakin' sounds amazing.

I think what most here are dancing around (myself included!) is can we get one? Now? I would sell my whole rig and downsize to that and a pedal board if it sounds that good in person.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! All gearheads the world, we have a lot to be thankful for. If nothing else go tell your family you love them and give them a hug!

After NAMM you will be able to :D

That my friend is very exciting! No more crappy fly dates! :D
