Cheers Von! Glad your back!
Thanks Briman, it's good to be back!!!

The master! Crank it up boys!

Have you ever checked out the old audio of SRV at Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos TX a year or two before he hit the big time? Blows my mind how developed he was at such a young age. The venue still stands although the original owner passed away a few years ago and I'm pretty sure Texas country star Randy Rogers owns it now. I think it's Jack Newhouse is on bass here. He still lives around the Austin area.

Yeah! That's an awesome bootleg! Amazing how good it sounds for 1980 bootleg! Wonder how it was recorded? My buddy who is in a wheelchair and I used to go to tons of concerts in mid to late 80's and he recorded alot of them with a hand held tape recorder that he could hide in his chair. He has some pretty insane bootlegs! AC DC, Guns and Roses on appetite for destruction tour, metallica on justice tour, Maiden on sit and seventh son, Pantera, Jeff Healy etc etc!

Just going by what I know about Cheatham Street Warehouse...someone recorded it off the mixing board. But that's just my guess. It's a decent sounding room but the train tracks run right next to it so sometimes trains race by. According to Kent Finlay the original owner, in his biography, he was a songwriter, he said there wasn't very many people there cause he was unknown at the time....and he was LOUD, lol. By the time he could make a repeat performance, he was famous and too big for the venue. It's still not a venue that pays much...it's all ticket and merch sales.
