I got mine today. Total meh. Mind you I'm sick and most everything is meh but I did not gel with the pedal at all. I'll try it again tomorrow and then try to return it or flip it on Reverb if I have to.

Can you elaborate? Meh doesn't really tell us much.

. it basically added another gain channel to my rig for $200.
This is exactly what I bought the pedal for.
something little different. Not looking to 'replace' my rig. Just add to it. ;)

No doubt!!!

I was "meh" for a minute or two until I'd used the very functional knobs and then I loved the pedal. The more I played it the more I loved it. And switching back and forth between it through the clean channel, and the dirt channel all by itself didn't sour that infatuation at all (which is what usually happens when I put a pedal up against great amps like Friedmans, Splawns, etc). Seriously, I'm just not really much of a distortion pedal guy, which is why there aren't any active ones on my boards. But this pedal kicks ass. It captures the Friedman magic like the Bogner Red and Blue pedals captured the magic of my old XTC Classic. At $200... it's a steal in my opinion and for anyone who wants to upgrade their mediocre tube amp... this pedal just may be the ticket.

Same here (as the last several posts), bought it looking to add another flavor of high gain to my two amp setup, and for that, it rocks and is worth every penny of the asking price, I didn't go into it seeking yet another boost, I have a couple of pedals suited for that (Timmy, which is the best uncolored "more" pedal I've ever owned, and a modded SD-1, which needs no explanation). The BEOD pedal is simply a way to add a hot rodded channel to my SmallBox, giving me cleans, vintage plexi crunch, BE channel crunch (different than the BE100 amp voicing) and lastly, with the pedal + clean channel, redonkulous HBE high gain. And with all that said, it CAN be a unique boost to boot, maybe not with all amps, but through the Friedman set for medium gain, well, I've already shared a clip...
