Gear you regret selling but didnt replace??

LOTS of cool stuff has been sold over the years. Most of it I would be happy to own again but I only have one true regret because I could never afford it again: My 2004 R4 Oxblood Les Paul. I got it used but like new in 2006 and it was just the coolest guitar. Under $2,000 too! This was before VOS and before Gibson started actually calling it a Jeff Beck model. At the time it was priced just like any other CS reissue with an opaque top.

Naylor Duel 38 probably the best amp I/ve owned next to the Current '82 JCM800 and Wizard 40w 6v6 MCII.

These fly so far under the radar but holy shit do they sound amazing. Having the channel versatility makes it an incredible gigging amp too

Agreed. That little Naylor was hands down had the best tone, low end and best feel of any amp I think. A Naylor SD100 or maybe Duel100 is the only other amp I'd maybe be interested in sometime in the future if one was to pop up at the right price.

I only owned 2 Naylors, an SD60 and that Duel38, and I wouldn't call either dark. They actually had as much bite, presence, upper mid attack I could ever have wanted and I like a bright, cutting, present tone.

A couple of my Randall rg100es heads from 85' and 86'. They had the quietest noise floors (a lot of those old Randalls hum like crazy) and sounded a little better than the other ones I owned. Also my old Mark III red stripe and a Peavey vtm-60 i owned. Can't forget the Ampeg vh140c.

Yes it was my favorite. I've owned most models many times over, never the Rock Standard though.

These are my only things I regret selling or trading.

Bought an original Siver Horsie Klon #175 back in 2005 or so for $175 ( sounded like ASS with my clean Fender amps I was playing at time) Traded it away , I’d never pay $5K for one now.

I guess I regret trading it because of what Klons worth, and not that I need or want that tone.

The only other thing was my loaded ‘86 Mk lll Red Stripe Combo.

I let it go because I have my 2 ‘84 Mk llC+ combos and my loaded Mk llC head.

I figured I didn’t need the Mk lll and sold it.

Unfortunately probably a lot of stuff. Mainly a 1957 Lester that had the headstock repaired. Gold top refinished in sunburst. And a 61 Les Paul I bought in 80 or 81 for 300.00.

The rest of the list is stuff that would be cool to have but my house would be considered a hoarders house. Gear comes and goes. Tools in the toolbox as Mr Andy Wood says.

My only regret selling any gear was a Bogner 20th Anniversary XTC with 6l6 tubes. Man, I could do everything on that amp. I tried to get it back about a month later but the dude wouldn't sell it back to me. It was a special amp.
