No problem! I just had realized I was talking from my own bubble. :) I still play other amps once in a while but usually at other's houses or at stores.

Well look at that! #05010 has a new home! :) 11 years old now. I hope you like it!
:D

Not mine. Wish it was. It was a buddies of mine. Great amp for sure.

Intimidator - what I would probably do is swap out the K100s with broken in V30s just to rule that out. I suppose it is possible, although unlikely, that the frequencies hitting your ear that are generated from a pair of broken in K100s and a pair of broken in V30s are just not vibing with you. Not sure if that means it need to be resealed or not. I know very little about Mills cabs so I'll just back out slowly

I've had Scumback H55/H75LDC in my Mills cabs for several years now and I bought the speakers from Jim with the full break-in and it's still one of the best sounding cabs I've ever heard.

How would you compare the Mills to your Wizard cab since it looks like you have both? And what about your Friedman cab?

The cabs have different speakers so there's some variation due to that. The Friedman is stock GB/v30, the Wizard is M75/v30 (though will soon be J75/v30 - along with a second Wizard cab that I have coming in soon), the Mills is H55/H75LDC and I have a Splawn cab with J75/v30 (which I may convert to M75s/H75 or just sell unloaded - haven't decided).

I initially put the H55/H75s in the Wizard cab, but it was too heavy on the low-end. I think that speaker combo works great with the oversized Mills cab. The Wizards kick out a ton of low end that can get out of control if you aren't careful. The Mills cab seemed to accentuate that whereas my Friedman cab didn't. I had 2 Mills cabs and I ended up selling one to a friend and bought the Wizard cab - which is very similar to the Friedman cab (not sure of materials, but size/shape they are the same - and built by the same people). The Mills is great. It is super tight and just has a lot of girth to the tone. I think it is awesome with Uberschalls, Recto, Engls, Diezels and my Fryette Ul. The scumback H's give it a nice bright/tight tone that almost feels juicy/wet, like a little touch of reverb was added - sounds awesome. I just preferred the smaller cabs with the wizards because I thought there was too much on the low-end with my MTL going thru the Mills.

The Friedman and Wizard cabs seem similar enough that the tonal differences are more about the speakers than the cab construction.
