I'm not particularly interested in anything he has done, his videos annoy me for some reason. But he seems like he'd be a cool dude to talk gear with if I ran into him at a bar or something.

IMO. The Toto cover has so many views because the song's been in the press and tagged on social media a lot in tne past six months due to Weezer and Trivium covering it. YouTube will take users straight to other like videos if they've watched those ones.
