I thought that was mixed with a Triaxis rig as well?!!
I’ve never great that but if true it sounds perfect with recto . This tone is so rich with more color than many recto tones I was shown . So maybe it’s that ?

In before @DanTravis62 tells us how much he dislikes it.
I’m wearing a Metallica LOAD shirt . It makes think of Dan now ever time I wear it lol

If you guys actually came up with a recto tone by a band that didn't suck ass, I would be thoroughly impressed

shit If someone on rig talk posted music by a band that didn't suck ass, I would be impressed:hys:

Like many great recorded tones it is bright and cutting. I fucking love the tone and it fits the song perfectly!

haha you do this every 2 years?:

That’s a regular un tamed recto. No boost nothing . This was just about the best recto tone ever . It says unboosted . I been trying to see what people like about rectos and what and how they use them . I just can’t get into them but I want to actually. These questions are asked because I know guys on here will help

RIchard Kruspes Recto tones were a bit different from the standard thing.
He used to have his Rectifiers modded by Voodoo amps. There are sometimes two channel Rectifiers for sale in Germany, that belonged to him and that have the modifications. AFAIK he owns RevCs as well, but I am not shure, if they were also modded.

And of course, what`s going on in the studio is again a different thing.

Me and Dan were having a few beers the other day, and he admitted to me that Load is probably his favorite Metallica album
