Seen that one many times. Some gnarly tones in that solo. A fuzztone that @DrewJD82 might take some interest in since he's been on a strat-fuzz kick.

Enjoy . I’m high af , but ya SRV had it . He went in the zone . As a teacher I see one thing . I guy who never put down his guitar . He loved playing and did not over think .

His biography was amazing. I got pussed reading how David Bowie treated him but he was dabbling in drug addiction.

Me and my buddy were at a Halloween party in the 90s, deunk, out in my friend's yard arguing who was better, Hendrix or SRV. He was a die hard SRV fan and kept tryong to sell me in it and I wasn't having it. The best part is that HE was dressed up for Halloween as Hendrix.

Just don't attempt to do any fretwork and solder electronics while you are "in the grip" of some drink!

I saw SRV live many, many times. The first time, was in a tiny gymnasium at Montclair State College New Jersey, 1986 Year of our Lord. I was so close, that my hands where resting on the foot of the stage, looking directly up at him. I will never forget those yells (AHHHH!) during rests, right before he dug into the strings. Added bonus was seeing his eyes roll back in his head when he did this.

Thought you quit that shit homie.

Im pretty sure he got the ahhhh from Albert King.
Cant believe its what 35 yrs since he passed
I think hes gone longer than he was alive

Gatorade and sunshine!
I have SRV ACL and bootlegs on VHS. Love em

Trivia fact : The helicopter that crashed & killed SRV after a show was chartered for E. Clapton but Clapton offered it to SRV.

So crazy. Reminds me so much of the Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, etc. crash.

Hendrix is big bang of modern guitar . He’s cool . But SRV had the benefit of what Hendrix did lead wise and taking it to a new level . He’s definitely a better player I think because of that

Thanks for sharing. That was some serious playing and love the fuzzy tone!
