im pretty drunk right now

Enjoy . I’m high af , but ya SRV had it . He went in the zone . As a teacher I see one thing . I guy who never put down his guitar . He loved playing and did not over think .

SRV was actually in recovery the last 6 yrs or so of his life.
One of a kind. The "Blues" died for me with SRV.

His biography was amazing. I got pussed reading how David Bowie treated him but he was dabbling in drug addiction.

Me and my buddy were at a Halloween party in the 90s, deunk, out in my friend's yard arguing who was better, Hendrix or SRV. He was a die hard SRV fan and kept tryong to sell me in it and I wasn't having it. The best part is that HE was dressed up for Halloween as Hendrix.

Just don't attempt to do any fretwork and solder electronics while you are "in the grip" of some drink!

I saw SRV live many, many times. The first time, was in a tiny gymnasium at Montclair State College New Jersey, 1986 Year of our Lord. I was so close, that my hands where resting on the foot of the stage, looking directly up at him. I will never forget those yells (AHHHH!) during rests, right before he dug into the strings. Added bonus was seeing his eyes roll back in his head when he did this.
