What production gear do I need to make my marshall jcm amp sound like the blades clip? I have used overdrives, equalizers and reverbs for recording, but my marhall doesn't sound nearly as good.

God, that video is hilariously cheesy, but i gotta admit, it's a pretty good sounding amp if you're into that kinda tone... the Van Halen brown sound kinda thing...

^^^^^ The ears don't lie. That amp sounds pretty damn killer I don't care what anyone else says.

I think Blades threads are my all time favorite. So much hate. I get mad when I see all kinds of people trash talking someone that isn't here to read it.

I am aware of the one shoddy deal he made 37 years ago and do not really give a shit. His amp sounds good to me and he has never done anything bad to me. In fact, I talked to the guy a bit via email and he was really nice and pretty awesome.

That twinkie picture was excellent though :lol: :LOL:
 
If you want a great sounding marshall-y amp that gets great tone (and does quite well as the tones that BB is shooting for) at a really reasonable price, check out the Phaez Pasadena (named after birth place of EVH). I am borrowing an 18-watt rack-mount Pasadena, which was purchased by an internet buddy for $350.
