I would love to go to the St. Louis show but not sure if I can. For those that can get to one of the shows I say go for it. Metallica is still one of the best live shows around today. Just sound amazing!

Meh... no Hawaii dates... fuckers

LOL! Dude in the nine years of living in Hawaii I was always praying a big band would come thru. In the 90s, Van Halen played the Blaisdell Arena and it was like the planets aligned. :)

I have a ticket for Baltimore on May 10 and I'm not going to be able to go now. If anyone wants it for the price I paid ($193), PM me.

Went to both the the Kimmel show and The Wiltern here in LA....So I am going to sit out the giant outdoor gig at the Rose Bowl. My understanding is that after a break, they will be retracing the US playing indoor arenas, that I will likely attend. They are still in great shape.

Would like to see them, and I never pass up a chance to see A7X. That being said, the prices are just too steep. That's what you get when you have two of the biggest bands in the world playing the same concert.

The only plus to a Hawaii concert is seeing some acts known for large venues play in super tiny clubs. Saw Slayer and Testament last year in a club that can only hold 200-300 people... Small stage like a high school talent show or something lol... Here is a vid I took for those curious on what a Hawaii concert is like

The saddest part about the Metallica thing is that Kirk Hammet lives here now full time with his wife and kids in Waiamanalo... you'd figure he throw us a bone or something :aww:

Saw them at the aa center for death magnetic. Wish it was there again, they will be at the new cowboy stadium. Sux cause the drive, but my sister lives in arlington, so She was nice enough to give us a ride to avoid parking at that nightmare

$500 bucks is a bit steep. i got lucky with stub hub last time i saw them in san jose

Denver Metallica Day!!! Up early & pumped!!! Anyone else going?

I'm busting out my classic Metal Up Your Ass shirt for the show.

Dude , I painted Kirk's house in Waimanalo. It was like in the contract with my boss that we were not to talk to Kirk about Metallica. So I literally had to talk to Kirk and not mention the band at all. lol

Not even a mention to his vibrato, like "hey man nice house, but your vibrato sucks"? :aww:

Too funny... my buddy ran into him at Dan's and he said hi and stuck his hand out to shake, Kirk kind of jerked away and looked at his hand like "uh"... and he ended up making a fist to fist bump instead... My friend said it was pretty awkward.

It's wierd, because it's like he doesn't want to be noticed but we all recognize him. My boss at the time specifically told me not to talk about Metallica with him or it was a deal breaker, lol. Dan himself told me that after all these years he still isn't close to Kirk at all. Dan also prices the ESP Kirk models that come in kinda low. I got a ESP KH2 a 95', for like 700$ at Dan's I sold it on ebay for like 1200$

Alright I LOVED the show in Denver. Haven't seen them in ~22 years, and I'm stoked to see that they're all very much still on top of their game. Even Kirk, when they played the old stuff he was hitting the solos on point. We got right down 30 feet or so from the stage, so awesome!

The ONLY thing I wasn't amped on was the Axe FX tone. I know why they do it, and I get it, but no it did not sound like a real Mesa. It had no character.
