I watched that yesterday. Sounded pretty decent but not mindblowing or anything. Seems like he's trying to become an influencer with his channel but I don't think it's going to work that well.

Liked the tone.
Lots of clarity in the chords and single notes.
I wonder if he was running an SD-1 into the amp head, or was that all the amp by itself?

I think he was plugged into his board but don't know what, if anything, he had activated. On a different video he gives a rundown of his board.

Well he influenced me to never watch his channel.
Thought it was some big SRV Texas blues guy.
Wondering why he’s doing third rate versions of Jimmy Page and Free.
The sound is muddy and the guitar is out of tune. That’s my take away.

I'm not surprised by your opinion lol. I don't understand the guy tbh...
Toured with Lucky Peterson but then went full blues-rock. Same tired stuff. Blew it because he became a junkie. Now he does parking lot gigs for H-D and what not. He can really rip but usually totally overdoes it. Lots of overplaying. Proud freemason....smh, the guy just doesn't seem all there...

dosent sound very good, but it looks like he is mic'ing the rim of the speaker on about a 60 degree angle, not sure thats exactly the right way to go about things

I appreciate this from the standpoint of the title description "Plexi - No Talking". Dude playing with great feel and rhythm on a Lp letting the amp sing. *No boring chugs*

Hey listen. If mic'ing one speaker sounds good, then putting the mic between two speakers should sound twice as good, right?

Used to catch him on Sunday nights at open mic jams at the Free Man in Dallas. It was almost a regular thing back in 2014-15. He and his band killed it back then.

U can just stick the mic to the magnet on the back of the speaker, too. Stronger than any mic clip

I think it all sounds great. At 4:37 he hits a pedal.
It sounds great to me. I'm curious about the amp (assuming its a 50 watt?). What cabinet? What pickups, etc (PAF's not potted feedback easily). I've owned a 67 plexi for 36+ years and the feedback and sheer volume would be insane being that close the the speakers. With a pedal on it would be worse. His ears wouldn't be able to handle it for that long either (maybe the speaker cab is in another isolated room and the cabs behind him are for show). Is he using an attenuator? Is he going into a real speaker cab or some new fangled IR thingy?
